Apexure is a marketing and design company based at the Hive Enterprise Centre. They work with start-up and small businesses to create a new online presence or to develop an existing one. The agency helps to generate leads to grow their business through landing pages and sales funnels. Apexure joined the Hive 6 months ago. The company started off in The Hive as a one-person business, but within the first month of their membership, MD Waseem hired Ben Adkins, a Digital Marketing Apprentice. Having the HotDesk at the Hive allowed Apexure to branch out which would have been a challenge with a home office.

The Hive’s communal atmosphere has given Apexure the chance to grow their clientele and meet new people who may require taking on their services. They have networked successfully within The Hive to create more business for themselves through meeting other members who sit in the same space.

The Hive encourages occupiers like Apexure to invest in apprenticeships to help create local jobs and to give the opportunity to the younger generation. This also allows them an insight into what it is like working in that specific career. Apexures’ apprentice Ben is 19 and works with Waseem full time from a HotDesk. Waseem has seen the employment of Ben as a “win-win” situation for the company. They have given Ben the opportunity to work in a growing business and learn skills to guide him into an excellent career in marketing and design. On the other hand, Apexure has gained a hard-working and driven new employee with a different view on things. Apexure believe that by hiring an apprentice, they have a fresh pair of eyes on projects, because Ben is younger he has a fresh mind and can contribute new and innovative ideas to the company.
Waseem suggests that any one-man business should hire an apprentice, he believes that it
has given him more freedom and allowed him to enjoy work a lot more. It is the perfect chance to teach the younger generation amazing skills that they can use throughout their life.

Waseem and Ben are really taking full advantage of working at The Hive, from Networking with members, to attending workshops on the Hive’s fully funded workshop programme.
Going forwards Apexure are hosting their own seminar on ‘How to generate leads for your business’ and ‘How to improve your online presence.’
Their free workshop will take place on Thursday 23rd November at 11.00 – 13.00 at the Hive Enterprise Centre.
