The aim of the Tech City-on-Sea concept is to provide promote the growth of local businesses in the ‘techie’ field and encourage enterprise in the local area. The focus of our event in July is to discuss and promote Digital skills in the workplace.

  • Andy from Southend Tech gives a 5 minute ‘Tech Talk’ on the Challenge of Today’s youth: “Can’t get a job as no experience; Can’t get experience as can’t get a job.”

  • Sarah Morton from Career Ready gives a talk on ‘Future Skills required in the workplace’

  • Paul Wilkins from Azzurro Marketing gives a talk on ‘Just Because you CAN, doesn’t mean you SHOULD’

  • Ian Banks from One to One Personnel gives a talk on ‘How to recruit and retain Superstars’

  • Patrick Gilmour from DKLM Solictors and #TechLawHub gives a presentation on “Risky Business- Legal Disasters and How to Avoid Them”

1) Attend! The event is completely free to attend. Your organisation is invited to join us for the event, be sure to bring business cards to network, enjoy the exhibitions, the ‘tech talks’ and have some beer and pizza on the house! 2) Talk Tech! The event will see local organisations do a short 5 minute ‘Tech Talk’ on their experiences in the industry. As mentioned, this event is focused on digital skills, what you can offer as an organisation and what you may be looking for.If you would like to do a talk please let us know by emailing us a short brief about what your talk will involve.

3) Exhibit! Once again we’re inviting organisations to exhibit their Tech products and services at the event. To do this we’re asking for a small donation towards the cost of catering and marketing this event. If you would like to exhibit and therefore become a sponsor we’re charging £99.00 + vat per stand.
